It all started there. 7. 7 years. Perhaps even before. What went wrong. Didn't we mocked them enough? When politicians gained so much power?

Transgender and cisgender are really just social constructs. Beyond the biological definition, the social, behavioural and psychological traits that our society associates with the words man and woman aren't actually innate or scientific things. They are things that we learn to become. So the notion that somebody who has a male reproductive system and also identifies with what we understand a man to be only has any meaning with reference to our socially constructed idea of what a man is meant to be.

Many people with female reproductive systems don't wholly identify with our socially constructed ideas of what a woman is meant to be, but they don't claim to be trans. They just reject the societal roles and expectations assigned to them. In this way cis and trans is not a binary, but a spectrum which exists as a relative measure of our self identification with cultural norms.

Very few people actually sit at either extreme of this spectrum and most people have varying degrees of identification with man things and woman things.

It's more accurate to say that we are all just people and we each have our own unique identities, personalities and preferences. A label of cis or trans is no more useful than a label of man or woman.

If someone transitions and detransitions, they, like most of us are just trying to find themselves and find the balance of living authentically and coping with the expectations of society that restrict us.

Transition isn't easy and how well you pass has a major bearing on how much grief you get and thus has a big impact on mental health. Some people just find it too hard.

Others transition to find that they come to see gender differently and detransition to live an authentic life as gender non-conforming.

In any case, calling someone who detransitions cis and saying that they were never trans isn't for anybody but that individual.
