There's forms of life that are sexless so I don't necessarily agree that "sex is a binary" if we are applying it to all life rather than just humans.

I don't really like binary word anyway because it implies an on off. Nor do I like the spectrum analogue because it isn't that either.

I think it's subtly different. I guess you could say sex is boolian if you really want to mess with the non-binary types.

Sex and Gender are different things they say... unless the reality of Sex is making you disphoric, because then biological reality is transphobic, therefore Sex is now not binary anymore and they will make mental gymnastics to cancel nature and DNA on Twitter.

Gender has no logical definition. Your internal feeling that you "identify" with a sex? The outward presentation of secondary sex characteristics or sex based stereotypes of dress and affectation? Unless you choose to just not change anything, be completely appearing to be of one sex, but just claim you're another? That's ok too.

Gender ideology is regressive in that it focuses on sex based stereotypes and deems them not only acceptable, but also indicative of gender. Boy likes barbie? He's a girl. Girl like trucks? She's a boy. Very regressive.

Some troon lurking might call that a strawman, but this "educational" slideshow, approved by Mermaids, literally represents gender identity — not gender expression, it actually explicitly says "identity" — as a linear scale from Barbie to G.I. Joe.

Need another example? The "Genderbread Person" guide associates gender identity — again, very explicitly referring to gender identity — with "personality traits, jobs, hobbies, likes, dislikes, roles, expectations", i.e. regressive stereotypes.

This confusion is deliberate.

They are different because people invent words. If the definition of gender isn't useful to you, which I claim it isn't, then stop using it. Just say the word sex and we can stop having debates over a silly word that has always had an engineered time bomb definition.

I'm not interested in what anyone's gender is because it's a useless form of categorization that doesn't correlate well with a description of the real world. I'm only interested in what someone's sex is.

A scientist ought to use evidence and experiments, and ignore people's feelings about it
