I think it's equally retarded to hold the attitude that women are perfect little angels incapable of being the harasser just as it's retarded to ignore the fact that most sexual harassment is carried out by men.

These aren't mutually exclusive ideas. But in a society where you just write off the idea "oh women would never do that" you've given a carte blanche to the harassers to do whatever they want, very similar to how you can give pedophiles perfect environment for predation if you scream homophobia at any criticism of inappropriate actions.

Most gay people, aren't pedophiles. But that doesn't change the fact that there are gay pedophiles.

Most women aren't sexual predators. That doesn't change the fact that there are women who are.

The problem is that this is an attempt to equate women to men. Women aren't men. Just like men aren't women.

The issue here is that certain mysoginist men are desperately trying to paint women as being capable of the same violence men are, because they absolutely lose their shit at realizing the harsh reality that women just aren't violent, perverted or dangerous like men are.

It would be the same as if our species evolved from birds and some women-birds suddenly started claiming that they can do the cool mating dance and nice singing as well so it's totally not a man-bird thing to do. It would be the same as if our species evolved from bees and some male-bees would start clamoring that they too can sting and carry honey. Or female deers claiming they too can butt heads with male deers.

Just accept that our species of ape is all about male violence and aggression. It's literally what our species does.

You want to paint women as evil? Then, instead of trying to attribute male-pattern violence of abuse, rape and violence to women, you should find the female-pattern violence. Otherwise I'll keep laughing at your (as in people in this subreddit) attempt to attribute male violence to women.

Female pattern violence focuses on children first and foremost, and on self-harm second. And Munchausen by proxy is mostly a female thing.

Some women mimic the male pattern violence. Most don't. But some do.

Women typically don't have much success being violent towards men since they're likely to be weaker than the male. But in situations where the male cannot respond to violence with violence in turn some will use that strategy. It'd the classic "you can't hit me back I'm a girl" bullying tactic.

Girl attacks some guy she wants to bully for whatever reason. Then says "You can't hit me back because I'm a girl". The guy can hit her in self defense, but the girl will go crying to the teacher, and the guy will get in trouble, and most everyone will say the guy is in the wrong.

Now there are certainly smarter ways to deal with this situation than violence, but this is the way that society works.

The question to ask is "are women capable of violence" as a general statement sure, men are more violent than women is true. But is there any reason why some individual woman can't just decide to murder someone? Clearly they can. So applying social wide level generalities towards the individual isn't smart. You wouldn't go into court and argue that you didn't commit the murder because "women don't murder people".

Don't forget violence by proxy, but I would not say that women are less violent than men but their target group is different. I think men are more likely to be violent towards strangers, but women are more likely to violent towards those they know.

DV stats would back that up.
