it also depends on who's doing the "proof": of course a Black Studies MA is going to make that the explanation for everything, just like the radfems ranting about how skyscrapers were built to be phallic and air conditioning and sidewalks and when women are favored in sentencing (it's patronizing, and thus patriarchal) and gays, you're not allowed to DEMUR that there might be other explanations that make something no less bad (or you're alt-right, like Milo Yannoplopolis, who's on the verge of taking over America and putting us all into gay camps to make us gayer)

it's basically the "I saw a Free Parking sign" effect
