The reason for the pi symbol is retarded beyond belief.

There is a fairly high probability that it was chosen because it was one of the few symbols available in MS Paint, in which the flag was designed.

also someone noted that all the pride flags matched the Windows 95 options for color schemes (you could have the rainbow, you could have two colors blending together)
