Daytime soaps are weird, they run constantly for years and writers shuffle through the production at quite a high rate. I used to watch one aimed at young adults called Hollyoaks and some of the storylines were truly bizarre.

I think the funnier thing about this episode of Doctors is that the fursona of the furry looks very much like Pedobear.

Hollyoaks was early evening. Doctors is on another level, only watched by old ladies with dementia and people off sick and too weak to change the channel, so I guess they give the job of writing to anyone who fancies a go 🤷‍♂️

A few years ago when the pedo bear meme was popular the media had a mini freakout that everyone posting the meme was promoting pedophilia and i think that was the first introduction many people had to the idea of furries as well. So now i imagine it's those same people like "what's the best representation of a furry we can use? I know, what about that bear from a few years ago!"
