Didn't she gloat about getting some taxi driver fired for being a Trump supporter? It seems she's just getting a taste of her own medicine.

No idea if she did that or not. But it's less about her specifically losing her job over this, and more about the pretty blatant hypocrisy of her getting the same kiss-of-death career treatment for speaking her piece, but not getting anywhere the near the same defense. If it had happened to someone other than her, I'd have mentioned them instead.
