dude I saw that too, and instantly had to think WTF is wrong with Thailand? Google says it's because they are cheaper for SRS surgery, by like a lot. But, why are so many dudes cutting off their dick and balls? Is there that much demand that overseas clinics have opened up to meet it? what in the fuck!??? Tell me we aren't living in end times. This shit can't continue.

I don't really know Thailand's story, but Iran has been a trailblazer with sex change surgeries because they don't tolerate gays. The only way to be in a gay relationship there is to have the surgery and live as a "woman". Apparently westerners were going to Iran for this before it became widely available and insured in the west.

Just think about where are the gays and lesbians in Thailand culture? They are invisible. While ladyboys are everywhere. It's the same as Iran but they are just more upbeat about castrating gays.

Thailand has this fucked up "ladyboy" prostitution culture so it doesn't surprise me. I was more shocked by the "only pros no cons", said to the OP who is clearly ignorant of the consequences of surgery and receiving staggeringly ignorant info in return.
