Babe, it's common sense. Repression, and never talking about it (esp to a professional) would not help neither the person, or anyone else should they act on it, in the future. This includes ALL mental disorders and illnesses. It doesn't have to include disorders or illnesses either. Repression of sexual orientation can cause mental harm too.
