Not only that, but also keep in mind how many pedos were sexually abused as kids themselves, which warped their mind already. Therefore, the only way to stop it is to punish the kid who got abused the same way to make sure they don't grow up to be a pedo. Suddenly, you now have given the pedos who abuse nothing to lose [they'll be sent to prison/killed anyway if they do it], and a big thing to hold over the kids they abuse [since now they can say "well, if you tell anyone about this, they're going to send both of us to prison and we'll both be treated the same way".]

Y’all use a lot of words to tell us that you’re ok with kiddie fuckers.

You use a lot of words to say you're a kiddie fucker who wants to make it easier to fuck kids, because the "pedos face the wall" method gives pedos so many more actions to make it easier the only way you can support it is if that's what you, personally, want.

Punishing a behavior makes that behavior easier? More likely? What culture are you from? (If you say reddit, I won't be surprised)

If you give the same death penalty to the person who steals a loaf of bread to feed their starving family as you would to someone who murders somebody, you didn't deter the person from stealing a loaf of bread. You only motivate the person to kill all the witnesses- they're going to die anyway if they're caught and it's not like you can kill them twice, and hey, if there's no witnesses they might just get away with it.

The same problem is there with "pedos face the wall." If you give the pedophile who's trying to seek therapy or mental help to stop themselves from being a pedophile the same bullet you give the pedophiles who act on it and abuse a child, you didn't deter the pedophile from those urges. You merely made it to the pedophile's benefit to actually abuse a child: if they're going to be killed no matter what they do, might as well actually fulfill this sexual fantasy they have before they get killed and at least have the joy of it. (Then, you throw in the "since so many pedos had their mind warped by being abused themselves as kids, the only way to eradicate pedophilia is to also make the victims who come forward face the wall too so they don't grow up to be a pedophile. End result, now you have pedos who are willing to act on their urges, and can rightly tell their victims that both of them will die if they say anything so those victims will never come forward at the risk of their own lives.

There is a HUGE difference between child rapers and people who "only think" they may have that inclination.

if they're going to be killed no matter what they do,

But they aren't. Even if the never-raper doesn't confess to a therapist, all they have to do is not act on those thoughts. It would be like they committed no offense at all. (because they didn't) No one is going to wonder why they haven't raped a child yet, because they're not telling people about thoughts they haven't acting on.

People often have thoughts of behaviors society frowns on, and even say things like "I'm gonna kill that asshole!" Don't act on those thoughts, and don't say that all the time, and you'll just be another relatively normal person.

There is a HUGE difference between child rapers and people who "only think" they may have that inclination.

And this is exactly my point. If you have some fucked up thoughts like that, then that is the type of thing you should be allowed a safe space to work through and fix about yourself. Like by "giving them the chance to safely confess to a therapist so they can be fixed and not have those thoughts anymore without fear of punishment just for having the thoughts, and only punishing those who act on the thoughts. Which ties to...

That is true, but it's also the weakness when the thoughts or behaviors are based on attraction. People can say "wow, that's a really handsome man/beautiful woman" and it doesn't necessarily mean they're going to jump and ravage them in the middle of the street...or in this case, say "that's a cute kid" and think nothing of it. For it to get to a level where you think you're a pedophile, it's gone a little bit above just that- and indeed, to get to that point you're probably close to offending anyway.

I believe you're undercutting your "should be allowed a safe space to work through and fix yourself" argument with this. Sure, if the safe space is safe because it's separated from society. If someone is "close to raping a child", that's a little beyond acceptable. Also, it's very unlikely that defect could be cured.

Of course the imminent child rapist won't be thrilled, but this is different from "I may commit a burglary", and even different from "I may commit a murder". They don't necessarily get the rope, but they are too much of a danger when they're "close" to raping a child.

Even then, my main argument is: In order for it to work, there always needs to be something more that the pedophile can lose before rock bottom and woodchipper. Even as simple as "a non-offending pedophile gets solitary confinement, but a offender gets genpop [giving the non-offender a chance to survive vs. the "a pedo won't survive prison. Even if they're there overnight to clear them before going to a mental institution, the prisoners will kill them that night"].

This is also doubled because there's the other important fact: A person who's seeking help is far more likely to actually change their ways than a person who is forced to seek help, so the simple fact the pedo who is trying to get mental help for this is a very good sign they can be saved.
