She said he's an RSO convicted on CM. Is that short for "repeat sex offender" and "child molestation"? If the guy was like 21 having sex with a 17 year old that's one thing, but if it was younger children she's fucking insane.

RSO is Registered (not repeat) Sex offender. Your guess about CM is probably correct, but as you seem aware, it's wise to take the legal terms with a grain of salt. A lot of times the crimes do sound worse than they really are (or occasionally, the reverse). For example statutory rape of a 17-real-old might be officially called "child rape" or "rape in the second degree". (And on the other hand, something vague and weird sounding like "indecent liberties" might actually describe something really nasty.)
