Only for their enemies. Like everything else leftoids believe, it's in a constant state of superposition based on whether or not it benefits them at the current moment.

Obviously (and they've gone mask off and said this in public, too, mind you) they want anyone right of center in any way (or right of Stalin, more accurately) to be banned from not only owning any kind of weapon, but self-defense in general, and they want roving mobs of leftists to murder, rape, and pillage with impunity.
