I've seen this BS in a book too. It was one of these preview things at the end of the actual novel and the author consistently switched from she to they every sentence. The scene got even more confusing when there were more than one they/thems speaking with a normal she. Dropped the series after that to save me a headache.

That's awful, who besides an alphabet disciple is going to plow through that . The they they/them shit is bad enough on its own. On Reddit people are always going on about how singular they has always been a thing, but the context is what makes it make sense or not and the way they want it used makes it muddled. Of course they don't give a shit though
