A white Republican councilman in Indiana has sparked outrage after jokingly declaring himself a lesbian woman of color in a Facebook post made earlier this month.

Delaware County Councilman Ryan Webb wrote that he considers himself an Indian American woman, saying he finally feels comfortable sharing his 'true authentic self' - but many have not played into the farce

’It is with great relief that I announce to everyone that I identify as a woman and not just any woman but as a woman of color as well. I guess this would make me gay/lesbian as well, since I am attracted to women,' he wrote in a post.

The announcement sparked outrage from people calling Webb 'pathetic' and for his perceived mockery of LGBT groups as well as marginalized groups.

'His words not only embarrass himself, but you, the county council,' said Charlize Jamieson, a transgender resident. Other members have now called him out for inciting hate against transgender people - and demanded his resignation

The irony of their complaints was completely lost on them.

Ummm excuse me, are they denying this brave and stunning woman her identity? Who the fuck do they think they are? She clearly knows herself better than anyone else, and she's an Indian lesbian. Fucking transphobic pieces of shit. In before "They're literally trans though", trans people can be self hating sweatie

Self-ID for me, but not for thee/them.

Did you see that thing the other day about Lauren (James) Harries demanding a female carer, because he was uncomfortable with a male one. So they're allowed to demand "same sex" care, but actual women aren't?

Oh, I wish I hadn’t googled that. Channel 4 actually let him go on Naked Attraction 🤮 and didn’t mention to the prospective male date that he was a Troon.

Still I remember seeing him on Wogan as a kid and thinking what an annoying little prick he was then, so I’m not surprised he grew up to be an even bigger one.

The whole family is weird. Keith Allen did a documentary on them called Little Lady Fauntleroy, that partly looks into his gender reassignment, which it turns out was entirely facilitated by his mum. But they also all have PhDs from either diploma mills in the US or a "university" which they founded

It's always the mum isn't it?

And the morbidly curious part of me wonders what those PhDs are for. And whether anyone else is actually stupid enough to acknowledge their validity.

The whole family has PhDs in “Metaphysics”. From a diploma mill, so totally worthless.

I'd sooner trust someone with a degree from the Hollywood Upstairs Medical College.

they cornered themselves--"he's just a cishet MALE making a false claim to get advantages or just mock us!": of course this is the first time 90% of normies have even experienced their thinking, so they can see the contradiction pretty quickly

it's like when the #believeallwomen and the free-the-unjustly-imprisoned-(Black)-men crowds collide: they'd both dominated academia and Tumblr, but nobody realized that every one of their entire premises contradicted, because nobody would consider critically thinking about these two equally-Good groups, now would they?

it's the same as when the RFs were suddenly rejected for being TE ~2014, or when everyone turned on Robin DiAngelo 2020 after being so scared of her; if being a trans woman or Native really WAS that bad, people wouldn't be pretending to take on that identity, now would they?
