Yeah, it’s not like they haven’t been desperate to have a female driver in F1 for the past twenty years or so. Trouble is, F1 is so elite that unless they can compete with men in top physical shape (you need to be supremely fit to handle high-g corners repeatedly for two hours) they will never even get selected.

I believe there’s a couple of female test drivers working for various constructors at the moment, if they really wanted to virtue signal a constructor could let them race but I don’t think the constructors want to lose points that much.

Maybe someone will offer Lewis Hamilton enough cash to Troon out, he probably has a number in mind already.

Reminds me a little if Vae Victis the all female esports team that got wrecked repeatedly because they were promoted into the elite level based on their gender and not ability, there was an interview with their “trainer” and he said he couldn’t advise them as they kept complaining he was patronising them. Hilarious.
