I was thinking about it yesterday how no "FTM" or female "non-binary" people I've ever known, and there have been quite a few, were conventionally attractive as women. It seems as though modern society has pushed women to think that their identity and specialness as a woman is wrapped up in their attractiveness and traditional femininity. Many of those who don't have either of those are choosing to stop identifying as women altogether, whether in search of attention or just an identity.
