Velma is lesbian? Since when? Didn't she had crush on Shaggy? That girl were never originally a lesbian, this just a dumb pandering.

That’s what the western entertainment industry has been doing for the past decade: changing a character’s race, gender and/or sexuality in an attempt to appeal to a few Twitter users even if it contradicts the actual story.

Now that you mention it actually, I think Velma’s the only one of the Scooby gang who’s gone through any change whatsoever. She was Latina at one point, black I think, and now she’s a lesbian. They just don’t like the idea of a nerdy white straight girl huh?
