Possibly. They're back up at kiwifarms.ru now. Going to Russia for freedom is so ironic.

Russia does have propaganda.
What people don’t understand is that Russia has the GDP of California.

Russia is known for censorship, they're probably loving this, it's bad optics is what I mean.
I thought Russia had the GDP of Texas, Cali makes more iirc.

It's actually a good argument for Russia's "multi-polar world" ideal. Dissident Russians can escape to the West, and dissident westerners can escape to Russia. I can't imagine what would happen if Biden's America still had total hegemony.

Not really, that's just propaganda. Russia is not exactly a bastion of free speech unless they're busy making the US look hypocritical.

And yet, I feel the individual citizen in Russia might have more freedom than the individual citizen in America. Why? Because in America it's the OTHER citizens who snitch and attack you.

Hahahaha. Oooo, thanks for that laugh. That's a really stupid take, Russians are known for snitching on political dissidents. That's why it's ironic to need them in this instance....

Are you stuck in the '50s? Do you think Russia is like the movie Red Heat or something?

I'm sorry, I was drinking. I was being an asshole. 🙏

In the 1930s they did, but now it's considered a taboo behavior. Americans snitch way more than Russians, they will snitch on someone for a parking violation, playing music in a park after 10pm, etc. It got especially bad during the Covid restrictions. I come from a Ukrainian family, this shit seems absolutely insane to us.

Yup I totally agree. I can't fully trust fellow citizens, they might be very friendly and caring, then one day snitch to the FBI and send me off to the hole. I find the Russian/Ukrainian community to be more trustworthy. Although subhuman rats are found there too.

I didn't say they are a bastion of free speech. What I meant is, persecuted figures might find refuge in the enemy country, like Snowden did in Russia, or how Russian dissidents escape to the west. If all countries were under the wing of the US, Snowden would be rotting in prison now.
