It's way easier just to stay in your (cycle) lane. Like just do it. Why fuck around with a driver when they have a much heavier vehicle? That sounds like a good way to get ran over if someone is having a bad day...

I'm in favour of cycling lanes. Keep the cyclists and the motorists segregated. Without cycling lanes, I don't mind cyclists cycling on footpaths as long as they cycle slowly. But yeah, the roads can be dangerous, especially if the speed limit is high or there's a large vehicle.

It's safer for everyone tbh. Cyclists aren't in danger from drivers, pedestrians/drivers don't have to watch out for cyclists as much. The real problem rn is where they electric scooters and the like go... Not a fan of them on the pavement with how quiet they are and how fast they can go, but obviously being that exposed on a road isn't a good idea either. Cycle lane is probably best for them too tbh.

Electric scooters annoy me. They should not be allowed on footpaths.

They're way too fast to be safe tbh. Saw someone nearly knock down a toddler going at about 20mph around a corner. Probably going to take a few people getting killed before anything changes there though.
