Society condemns mothers more than it does fathers?
When was that the case? Women are practically Karma Houdinis on these sorts of issues - it was "Post-Natal Depression" and that's fine, but if a man feels entrapped then his anxieties don't count. I'm not saying either one is right - but objectively the mother is sympathized alot more when it comes to any form of mental health issue
And that's before we start tapping into the juicy low hanging fruit that is women and crime in general.

Depends on the case tbh. Like the Dingoes ate my baby lady got a ton of shit from the media for not looking sad enough about it.
Thought that case really sucked. Can't imagine what it's like to lose your child, have the whole world mock your excuse and get imprisoned for the crime. Only for years later it to come out when they find the body that you were telling the truth. She only got released because after a few years they found her child's jacket in a place that supported what she'd been saying all along.
