Err.. no, they're still female.

The difference between FtMs and MtFs is that the former has an easier time passing than the latter, and even then, if you know how and where to look, you can still clock them.

Also, society in general tends to be more strict in regards to looks when the subject is women. A strange looking "man" will get way less weird looks than a strange looking "woman".

They're closer to male than female. The reason they pass so well is because they can actually become the opposite sex, and not merely dress up like it the way mtfs have to do. They even see the behavior changes.

If you're confused, it's because while puberty is irreversible, female puberty does little more than cause breast growth and ovary function, while male puberty completely revamps every aspect of the body and brain.

Just to clarify: no, a female taking testosterone won't magically turn into a male, it doesn't work that way.

The behavior changes are par for the course when the subject is testosterone, as the excess of said hormone will trigger behavior changes even in males, so no surprise here. No magic is happening.

Hell, some FtMs can even get pregnant while on T!

It isn't appearance. Their processes actually do change. Pretty much everything but genitals becomes male, which is why I said closer to male and not entirely male.

Also let's not minimize the effects of estrogen on MtFs bodies either, as HRT also fucks them up in the long run.
