Specifically, why is it not okay to ban critical discussion of transgenderism, but it is okay for the Holocaust? I'm not a fan, at all, of forbidden topics or words personally.

That's a relativistic and retarded stance. It's not that it's a forbidden topic, it's that it's so god damn stupid that I'd rather just not have to scroll through that kinda shit if I can help it.
