This is something that I just don't understand ... oh wait I get it fully.

You would think that obesity being a major part of our public health problems being obvious, there would be push back from the medical sciences against any crossing of the line from decrying prejudice against obese people into pretending the problem away. But there really isn't. Humanities departments have "queered" disease to normalize aids and to pretend that just because some obese people seem healthy or that skinny people can be ill, or athletic people can be sickly, that obesity does not matter and it is all about bias. (Notice how they talk about aids in their queer studies in hopes of making it acceptable but not covid)

There has bee no push back from "authoritative" institutions of any kind. OH, because it sells drugs and the drug companies throw money at universities, media companies, and the government in all sorts of ways (Project Veritas' new videos are .. well showing water to be wet)

SO this person has massive cognitive dissonance and all the crap on her phone has allowed her (no dude loves being fat) to have a very disordered mind. She does not love being fat, because it makes now sense to love that. If she has been duped into thinking "I love myself" (good, so far), and "I am fat" (probably a sound observation) "therefore ..." (oh no ...) "... I love that I am fat" (not a syllogism, so not even a faulty one). Fat is not an intrinsic part of herself, she is not herself because she is fat. She has confused herself with what others see and say about herself (uhm, every "Identity" talked about today suffers from this disordering of the mind. If this is a dude, it would be like if they read what I'm typing here and then concluded they were trans based on my assumption that no dude loves being fat).

Does she accept she must lose weight to be healthy? It does not seem so. Does she see "unhealthy and on deaths door" as much of her identity as "fat"? Does she love that side of the same coin?

Is her fear that if she loses weight, she will lose her self? This is like not wanting to grow up out of fear of not being able to play with star wars action figures dolls. Though, worse would be saying I'm grown up AND I still play with dolls. But I guess that would be better than domestic violence. I'm starting to come around to this playing with dolls thing, but I think Philip K Dick had it as a part of the culture in his novella The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch (great read)
