Religion
Remember, each individual has a measure, and has a single measure only. If you think that you owe it to your measure, if you think that your measure has a right on you, it is your lord most high, and your religion is the law of your lord most high.
To elaborate more, if one's religion forbids alcohol and he drinks it, and then proceeds to admit that it is wrong or to deny that it is wrong, under both cases he did not follow the religion, but it is only under the second case when he can be said to be no longer part of that religion because it is then that he changed his measure.
Heavenly religions tell you that the Creator is the lord most high and therefore give you the Creator's laws. For completeness, I mention that heavenly religions also tell you that the Creator is your god. Whoever the lord most high is, religion is not about telling you that he exists.
The word for religion in the old language comes from the root D Y N, and roughly means to owe.
Final Words
This marks the end of this series. I hope that it benefited, and continues to benefit.
I like to add that when you follow a lord most high, not simply a measure, your following is worship. When you worship some one, you get your right and wrong from them. Right and wrong is used here in the contemporary common tongue.
Worship in the old language comes from the root A' B D, which is also the same root for the word for slave in that language. A slave in the old language is essentially a worshiper, but the construction of the old word is such as intent is removed from it. This is unlike the word for worshiper in that language. In that language, if you worship someone you can be called his worshiper or his slave, but if you are some one's slave, in the English sense, you can not be called his worshiper.
As time goes by, detail is lost from language, and abstraction is from detail. In English, a slave does what you want, and you are free to harm him or dispose of him as you please, per the imagery often associated with the word. By harvesting his work, you decided he has no right for his work, and when you harm him, you either removed a right also or gave a right depending on why you harmed him. In other words, the said imagery is indeed a special case of the original abstract meaning of the word, a thing that lost detail.
Nowadays, the Arabs when they speak in English, they say something along the lines of we are slaves to God. They are not speaking in metaphors or similes. When some one foreign is speaking to you in your language, the language is native but the tongue is still foreign.
I now ask that you ponder and reflect. If you are going to worship some one, would you worship the creation? Where is your dignity. Where is the dignity of being a slave to another creation.
