Good luck! Looks like you'll need it, or a moving van.

I bought a physical newspaper today for the first time in over a decade, and - hoo boy - am I not missing anything.

This is coming from our province's newspaper of record, which has been in operation for almost 200 years. The three stories decided to be important enough to be front page news are as follow:

  1. A story where a gender studies prof blames all men for some piece of shit who abused his wife, and who decides that we have to 'reimagine justice', meaning she wants to find a system of rules that would allow her ilk to persecute men who abuse women while at the same time holding women who abuse men to be blameless.
  2. The Province does society a favour by no longer requiring trannies to seek psychological help before deciding to remove their genitals and take themselves out of the gene pool.
  3. Drug addled bums complain that the city, which offered them free lodging if they would move out of a needle ridden and rat infested "park" (strip of grass) in a family community, was giving them a raw deal by asking them to leave that particular location in order to protect the kids who live in the nearby houses.

Is this really today's most important news, or is this just an indication of what kind of low effort cretins the journalism schools are churning out in return for their parents' tens of thousands of tuition dollars?

It'll easily be another decade before I buy another paper, but I doubt it will still be in operation by then anyhow.

Oh yeah, and page 2 has a random picture of a guy in a dress for no discernible reason.
