I'm sure there are more people who can fill in details and give references both on s/LGBDropTheT and s/GenderCritical. I know there's one article out there that traces the influence of money in the astroturfing that's gone on in spreading gender ideology.

I saw a lot of it happening personally because I was in academia at the time. I attended talks by Judith Butler. I saw Women's Studies departments morph into Gender Studies.

One of the big reasons I got into this was the massive lies that the TRAs told about gay history, which I was very familiar with. Their attempt to coopt Stonewall with lies about who did what really infuriated me. They would say things like, "If it wasn't for trans people, you wouldn't HAVE any civil rights!!!" Now, I'm old enough to know better, and that's one thing that tipped me off to the kind of people I was dealing with: people who would tell any kind of lie to advance their cause.

How about books or documentaries? I'm not from the USA but I guess that there should be something about LGBs betrayed by left-wing activists.

Try Douglas Murray's latest book, The Madness of Crowds.
