We already know Mboma (and teammate Masilingi) are xy DSD athletes. Both were originally entered in the 400 meters but were forced to withdraw due to the "Semenya rules" that prohibit xy intersex athletes (who have testes and male-typical levels of/sensitivity to testosterone) from competing in the middle distance events. They entered the 200 instead because that event isn't subject to the Semenya rules.
