So does this lower standard you are proposing for comedy subs include allowing violence and genocide? If you are not concerned about that rule then I think we're good.

Whatever policy we have we are intent on applying it equally no matter if the sub leans right or left or otherwise.

If you want to write the 'comedy pyramid' to not include references to violence and genocide you're going to wipe out a lot of left and right wing jokes. People joke about violence, people joke about genocide (more on the left than the right IMO but that's irrelevent in this disscussion.) The point I'm trying to get through is I don't care where you set the bar as long as it's equally applied. I will warn you though that you're going to stifle a lot of meme/comedy content on both political sides if the rule is too strict and you're going to stifle nearly all comedy content with a 'pyramid of debate' because again comedy is not debate.

We can certainly accomplish this. Both of us admins are basically non-partisan and the site has non-partisan roots. If you ever feel we're slipping on applying rules equally hit me up and express it.

I also agree with your points about stifling comedy. But ironic things have a way of becoming non-ironic. We're just trying to pick some kind of line to prevent this site from becoming Voat2. Easier said than done for sure.

Isn't it? I guess the "erased" part makes it a hypothetical maybe. Certainly a good example.

I'm hoping we never start down the sub banning path, aside from the extreme subs we've already banned, and instead just ban users after their 2 warnings, so subs and mods don't live in fear of arbitrary shit by admins.
