I see your points, and I understand how anyone who fought with TAM might also be quite upset.

Not to drag out the conversation, though as a historian, I think I can confirm that cosmopolitan societies, where different kinds of people have mixed for millennia, for the purposes of trade, secure settlement, and generally for economic and social benefits, have also been remarkably tolerant of the "melting pot" of very different religions, customs, classes, economic backgrounds, and - in many cases - sexual preferences. The periods when these cosmopolitan regions developed resulted in some of the most innovative, interesting, solutions for a better quality of life for people. Fundamental to what works in the cosmopolis is: tolerance, relative freedom speech, relatve freedom to choose of one's way of life, and some opportunities for upward social mobility. Not that this has worked perfectly, but all of this is why I see your point about society as a good argument for the acceptance of same-sex couples, or those who identify as the opposite of their sex at birth. Of course, no one should agree with pedophiles, for reasons that are perhaps part of a very different discussion. There is unfortunately a long, continuous history of pedophelia, some of which includes tolerance for pedophiles (which was wrong).

Not to quibble my day away, but the definition of cosmopolitan is "*including or containing people from many different countries. *". That's why those societies are called 'cosmopolitan'.

What's happening now is an attack on our society by introducing non-compatible elements that are tearing it all down.

There will undoubtedly be humans left after our current society is destroyed, but it's not going to be anything like the people promoting moral corruption are expecting.
