Good post.

It might also be worth describing from their point of view why they view Ice Poseidon as a problem, if only for fairness and context.

The PNGs are great, though far too wide (consider vertical screens and aim for square). Would be better with the permalink too, in order to see the wider context.

Clearly this is "shit disturbing" drama, but IMO needs to happen. I for one was not aware of this, and so much more I assume, on SaidIt.

Thanks for being someone making an effort on SaidIt.

Ice Poseidon is a racist and white supremacist who built his career on racist edgy humor. Now he decided to become an SJW and refuses to acknowledge his past. We just document his racism we do not promote it.

I know nothing, so my questions are legit, not meant to troll.

Is is possible that he's not SJW, but simply reformed?

If he has changed his ways, why would he want to dwell in such an awkward past?

If he has gone from one extreme to the other, why is he (or anyone) worthy of being harassed? In brief, what harm is he now doing?

Do you use the wiki? /s/ice_poseidon2/wiki You could document all your stuff there, including a FAQ, etc. Might save you time with an easy to point to explanation for stuff. (It's basically just like a shared comment/post document.)

You hit the nail on the head there. Ice Poseidon wants to move on with his life and reform his brand but there is people in IP2 who have an unhealthy obsession with him and his past. They would rather see him crash and burn instead of allowing him to reform.

No one has any obligation to allow him to reform, he shouldn't be allowed to snap his fingers like Thanos and make his past disappear. Someone has to hold him to account, and they have every right to do so whether it be here on Saidit or anywhere else.

Many have said he hasn't reformed. And they've got a good point that caution should still apply and people should be warned regarding public figures. Reform needs to be earned and proven over time. Also, he "earned" his sorted past that he will have to carry the rest of his life. A reformed murderer is still a murderer. We all have our sins to deal with, and denying them helps no one.

They're also saying his followers are a DDoS problem. That's never cool (unless it's aimed at the corporatocracy).

As for the asstrolls in the sub, IMO axe them after their fair warnings.

As for their sub, IMO they seem okay.

As for this post, IMO it's a nice informative summary (with some gaps), and I think our community could use more like it. (Only when appropriate, not every day, or witch hunting, etc.)

There's no solid proof, but he has a few sketchy developers working on his side. On our old subreddit on Reddit, there was a leaked video of his developers\mods who were doxing the IP2 mods. The video was leaked by someone those devs were talking to.

His devs are pretty shady so that's why it's mostly speculated that Ice has them do his dirty work.

Keep in mind that they have their own agenda (trying to ruin his life) when it comes to things that they consider to be not reformed.

For example, yesterday he did a stream with a homeless black man where he took him to a convenience store to buy him some food and drink. At one point he tells the man to grab a banana and a cookie so that he can give the guy $20 in change. IP2 spun this interaction into a narrative that he was being racist by offering him a banana since he was black. This is how they operate, they try to make a new narrative out of anything that can be taken out of context.

And what's your agenda? Defending this guy, free of charge? You're his personal knight, securing a guy's bank account who sexually assaults people?
