The Cultural Left has turned to Communism, and they pretend like LGBT folk have rights in countries like China and Venezuela even though we don't. And don't forget the double standards when it comes to religion. So, It’s time for us to talk about abortion rights books everyone should read about reproductive justice and you can browse this page to get know about abortion rights books everyone should read about reproductive justice. To understand how we got here, and give reproductive justice the same level of respect afforded civil rights movements like the Civil Rights Movement and Black Lives Matter, we have to hold up a mirror to ourselves and ask ourselves what our role is in this fight.

Gun Rights Are LGBT Rights by [deleted] in RightWingLGBT

I do find your perspective interesting and thank you for sharing.

You're welcome!

I don't see how Dems are targeting LGBT with gun control measures.

I didn't say they were targeting us, just that they're hurting us and don't care. It ain't their intent, but it's what their failed policies do.

"Gun rights are LGBT rights" feels like strawman, and meant to divert attention away from gun rights and instead gain sympathy and support as a minority member of society.

That's just how you view it from a right-wing perspective. The point of the article is to fight back against the Democrats' notion that gun control would help LGBT people (I've seen a lot of articles about that) and say "If you wan'o help LGBT people: let us keep our guns." Basically, I'm tryn'o convert leftists.

HRC drank the kool-aid years ago, and act as if any minority person being harmed is automatically a hate crime because of being a member of that group.

Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't know no'n about HRC, so forgive me.

Bias-motivated, and hate crime, are two different things. Everyone has biases, it doesn't mean those biases are hatred or the reason a crime was committed. This is pandering and manipulation.

Yeah, I didn't like that part when I saw it, but it ain't what I came for. I already suspected any source I found would be heavily biased towards the left — and it's pretty hard to find a source that ain't.

Couldn't just keep it on LGBT could they, better bring in race to appeal to more people!

They hate white LGBT people, which is why they put black and brown stripes on the rainbow flag — which I called out as racist, woke, divisive garbage in a pretty off-script rant video I posted a while back. (They also tried putting a prostitute symbol on the flag).

So the grand total of LGBT "hate crimes" went from 1413 to 1462.

Can't say I'm surprised they bloated the statistics. Interesting that SO-based hate crimes actually went down. I ain't entirely sure what the difference between "Gender identity" and "Gender" is, but they might be using the latter to bloat the statistics with normal sexism.

That is not an epidemic by any stretch of the imagination, and has no bearing whatsoever on gun rights and legislation, nor the second amendment.

It does have bearing on the Second Amendment, cause most LGBT people have been brainwashed by the Democrats into fighting against their own interests, and have to be showed they everyone benefits from gun rights, not just straight people.

I'll look out for HRC in the future, thanks!

DISCLAIMER: I'm not by any means informed or educated on gun rights and legislation. I do find your perspective interesting and thank you for sharing.

I think most politicians in the USA are just full of shit generally, but I don't see how Dems are targeting LGBT with gun control measures. "Gun rights are LGBT rights" feels like strawman, and meant to divert attention away from gun rights and instead gain sympathy and support as a minority member of society. Which is what the Dems have been doing, appealing to minority classes and feelings instead of focusing on the actual problem(s) at hand and how to resolve them.

anti-LGBT hate crimes on the rise

Using HRC as a source is disingenuous, they are firmly left and heavily biased, and it discredits the whole basis of your article.

HRC drank the kool-aid years ago, and act as if any minority person being harmed is automatically a hate crime because of being a member of that group. They also include all the letters after T in the alphabet as belonging to LGBT, and the majority of those have no logical grounding where legislation and facts are concerned, as they are personal identifications and feelings. Doing so undercuts the legitimacy and validity of LGBT needs by muddying the waters with dual-diagnosed social and personal issues.

Look at that big bold italicized quote right in the middle of the press release you shared.

Yet another year with alarming levels of bias-motivated crimes underscores just how urgent it is to address this hate crimes epidemic.

Bias-motivated, and hate crime, are two different things. Everyone has biases, it doesn't mean those biases are hatred or the reason a crime was committed. This is pandering and manipulation.

This year, we saw a tragic new record of fatal violence against transgender and gender non-conforming people in this country, particularly against Black and Brown transgender women.

Couldn't just keep it on LGBT could they, better bring in race to appeal to more people!

The report was released in late 2020, and provided statistics for 2019. I notice the HRC conveniently DID NOT link to the actual data, or any official summaries, they just released their point of view.

The actual literal numbers tell you what's happening. Don't look at percentages, they switch to percentages once it makes their argument look better.

  • Sexual Orientation: 1196/2018 vs. 1195/2019 - down by one person
  • Gender Identity: 168/2018 vs. 198/2019 - up by 30 people
  • Gender: 49/2018 vs. 69/2019 - up by 20 people

So the grand total of LGBT "hate crimes" went from 1413 to 1462.

That is not an epidemic by any stretch of the imagination, and has no bearing whatsoever on gun rights and legislation, nor the second amendment.

The most dangerous threat to the left is resistance from minorities.

Then don't give in to the left by pandering to their warped degenerate agenda of sexual communism, one that has come at the expense of women's rights and gay rights.

In fact, having it here violates every rule:

No spamming.

T is spam everywhere.

No racism or sexism.

Sterilizing gays of color is racist, and calling butch lesbians men is sexist.

No trolling/concern trolling.

The existence of T is concern trolling by the homophobic heterosexual left.

"We will not tolerate attempts to overwhelm this community and make it a SJW haven."

T is a form of SJWism to begin with. You already did it.

This is a subreddit for right-wing LGBT first and foremost.

You can't be right-wing and support the destruction of God's creation in this fashion. Genesis 1:27

No sexualized content. No porn of any variety. Mark all other NSFW content appropriately. No NSFL content.

Everything T does is by definition pornography.

Engage with our community in Good faith

I cannot engage in good faith with anyone who believes gay men are really heterosexual women and that heterosexual male autogynephile should be allowed to call himself a lesbian.

We absolutely welcome non-LGBT users that are interested in our community.

"Our community"? LGB people are not part of a community of a bunch of self-loathing homophobic genital mutilators and sick heterosexual fetishists.

This is not a place for language policing. We're not interested in the restrictions of political correctness and 'safe spaces'.

You do exactly that by supporting the T.

You can discuss any ideology or political view here, this subreddit is open to discussion and freedom of expression. However, we will not tolerate attempts to overwhelm this community and make it an SJW haven. You have your own communities that dominate reddit, we are here to establish our own.

No, we fucking don't have any place on Reddit to discuss LGB issues from a perspective that is both right-wing and g-nd-r-critical. They scrubbed the place of anything critical of the T and its misogynistic homophobic sexual imperialism, right or left.

I consider myself more of a centrist than left- or right-wing but I've seen so many blatant misrepresentations of the administration's actions I found this article to be an interesting read. I didn't even know Trump has nominated LGBT individuals to high level executive and judicial positions because that doesn't match the left's perception of him so of course it's just quietly swept under the rug.

[–]catoboros 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Wasn't Data pretty much agender? Given that Star Trek has transporters, and (to some extent) a post-scarcity economy with replicators, not to mention all the low-effort blue-paint aliens, adding a few trans people is hardly a novelty. Star Trek had the first interracial kiss on US TV, after all, so it has a history of addressing present-day social issues. Moral lecturing is hardly new to Star Trek. I have no problem with trans characters as long as they are well-written. But good luck with that.

While we may like to escape the brain-damage of the culture wars into an imagined distant future, science fiction is a product of today and reflects contemporary social issues. There is no getting away from it. Just give me well-written antiheroes. I do not think I will find them in Star Trek.

There is no LGBT or LGBT community, I agree. There is infighting, the letters hate eachother, and most people's idea of "the LGB(T) community" or "The gay community" is very Americanized, aimed towards privileged/rich people, and very exclusive of people from different viewpoints or different nationalities

Source: I am Russian, non-leftist, non-flamboyant or "proud". It is evident I am not welcome in "the gay community."

Assuming that all transfolk are like that is an incorrect stereotype created by leftists to force everyone to walk on eggshells around transfolk. Trump doesn't care if gay marriage is legal or not, so it's not an issue for me. And I actually support the ban on transgender people in the military. People who have to take hormones all the time to look like they are of the opposite sex are a liability on the military. If people with diabetes are excluded, so too should trans people. Besides, men and women are segregated in combat roles, dorms, changing facilities and so on, and rightly so. Allowing trans servicemembers opens a can of worms.

By the way, I cannot stand the word "queer". I'm not queer. I'm gay.

When trans people stop claiming they are likely to commit suicide at any given moment over the slightest criticism then maybe other people will agree to stand next to them when they are armed.

They are undermining themselves here and the ban is completely reasonable given the current narrative trans people and their allies are pushing everyone to sign up to.

I'll believe him when he lifts the transgender military ban. And supports gay marriage. And supports anti-discrimination legislation. And... you get the point. Trump doesn't support LGBT rights, he just doesn't.

I should also note that Biden's record is much worse than Trump's. Biden supported DADT, DOMA, and other anti-queer legislation that hurt the LGBT rights movement. Yet leftist queer folk still support him.

Queer folks aren't welcome in either of the two big parties. The Republicans openly refuse to give us rights, and the Democrats are scheming behind our backs and only care about stealing away our votes. Voting for Trump or Biden won't change anything. On the issue of LGBT rights, they're both the same.
