How to Block YouTube Ads in Case YouTube is Trying to Block Your AdBlocker

  1. Install the Ublock Origin extension onto your browser. (It also works with many mobile browsers as well if you install it in Desktop Mode.) Just DO NOT use Google Chrome, as it blocks your adblocker.

  2. Click on the Ublock Origin extension button and click on the three gears in the bottom right corner to Open The Dashboard. You can also right-click on it and go to Options.

  3. In My Filters, add one or more of the following filters:

www.youtube.com##.ytp-ad-action-interstitial

www.youtube.com##.ytp-ad-module.video-ads

www.youtube.com##.paused-mode.ytp-large-width-mode.ytp-fine-scrubbing-exp.ytp- bigboards.ytp-fit-cover-video.ad-interrupting.ad-showing.ad-created.ytp-exp-ppp-update.ytp-modern-caption.ytp-exp-bottom-control-flexbox.ytp-transparent.html5-video-player

4. Done.

Again, just don't use Google Chrome, as it ignores all adblockers, considering Google owns YouTube and all.

I've used chrome incognito with Ublock Origin and not had any adverts. My complaint is if I watch a video say Scotland even for 20 seconds I end up with nothing but Scotland videos. I click on 3 dots then do not recommend channel I have to do this for the next half hour and still YT keeps showing Scotland for the rest of the day. Now I click on 3 dots then report and pick one of 6 options. Youtube has become shit. Like Saidit
