The successor to the original /r/random_shit, which was based off a long-defunct 2006 blog on the internet called "Random Shit," where a crazy person would shit on things like the MTV Music Video Awards, make fun of Gideon Yago and how he smelled like shit, and spend half an hour ranting about dumb shit like the plastic tips on shoelaces and what they were called (aglets, by the way.)
