As predicted the state is using hate crime and speech laws to persecute people they don't like.
The problem is there isn't enough actual hate crime around to hide what they are doing, even though the bar for conviction is so low it's on the floor.
Apparently pushing for these unpopular laws is pro-democratic, according to Soros's Open Society Foundations.
