Kink culture is the aftermath of internet porn, and wouldn't be nearly as prevalent without the ever-present need for validation--male approval. I've known a few guys who were into BDSM, yet for some hidden moments they felt ashamed. Some cry. They know it isn't healthy or normal, they know it comes from a dark place. Finding a new partner and getting her to agree to try and evolve a BDSM lifestyle requires coercion and grooming, because he knows before he even speaks to a new girl that he wants her to eventually do those things, however she may feel about it. Males are horny perverts who want to play with women's bodies as much as possible. We're toys to them to poke at, and the fact that we're conscious beings just feeds their power-hungry egos at the same time. It is a dangerous way to normalize sexual violence, I agree. It glosses over the fact that men want to beat on women and inflict pain, the fact that laws require them to get permission and we call it 'kink' is the only socially acceptable way for them to do it.

The type of feminism you are talking about, liberal--I suppose, is another way for women to survive in society, imagine they are liberated AND still get some male-approval and validation. I think about male approval as the only real currency women have to work with in life. Men give other men respect by default, benefit of the doubt, acknowledgement, trust, and money. Even the rare men who willingly give these things to women know they don't have to, that most men don't, and they probably cherry-pick which ones to treat as full people (usually the ones they find attractive). That's why there is so much competition, clinging to youth, and bitterness in women. Their value depends on how much male-approval (proof that they are good, real, whole, and valid people) they garnish in this society. That's why "angry feminists," lesbians, overweight and older women are treated as so unimportant, hardly even there, sometimes in the way. They are invalidated. Men don't want them. That's a form of suicide in society, hence pickmes, kink-culture, liberal feminism...anyway I hope they build their robotic waifus really soon and leave real women alone.

I think you could make great books or blogs, you should go for it!
