Yeah so I just saw it.

Basically, the ruling majority destroy the minority rebellion by breaking up their personal relationships and employing divide and rule just like the colonial powers used to. And the oppressors class are the good guys.

I really don't think this is completely accidental. It think the writer just has problems with every side rather than being an idiot.

It's also hilarious a supposedly feminist film is constantly telling everyone they are beautiful all the time. That is a pure lost your soul in Hollywood issue.

I think the movie had a few roadblocks in trying to be what the director envisioned. She probably wanted to make Mattel the villain (just look at their movie representation, it's all old white dudes) but wasn't allowed to since they're funding the movie. The director probably didn't want to include a trans woman Barbie but was forced to. The movie could have a ton of valid interpretations and a lot which are against the director's goals because she was so incompetent.

Overall, truly one of the movies of the year. We can enjoy it for what it is but for me the most entertaining part was she trying to paint particular viewpoints while fumbling the bag very hard. Some even calling it a red-pill movie lol.
