It would be impossible to pick a side in that fight. Like "Joshua" in War Games, I learned the only way to win in that game is not to play. Having quit Reddit maybe 2018/2019 my life is much improved!

I never cared about the Reddit API war.

Reddit has always been a shit hole because it allows subreddit moderators to hold complete, total and arbitrary power over banning members for life.

I couldn't care less whether third party programs can't work on the website

Keep in mind these Redditards didn't have a problem with all the censorship and abuse that's been happening for years. But they suddenly have a problem with some API changes? Really? lol.
