When people have their fetish in private outside of the public eye who cares? It's only an issue when you make it public because people don't wanna deal with that shit. You introduce someone as your partner, not as your latex fetish buddy. Ew.

To be fair, if this fetish requires having the same surgeries as 'trans' people, this might be somewhat noticeable and require more of an explanation to people in your life than bondage or foot stuff which seems like it would be a lot easier to keep private

I don't know the full context behind the person who posted that obviously, but I guess after having previously come out as trans he felt the need to correct that. "Hey guys, you know how I said I was really a girl inside and stuff? Turns out I was wrong, I just have a fetish for imagining I'm a girl."

Probably TMI, but I think I understand where he was coming from.

Unfortunately people do come out as their fetish now. That's one of the reasons trans is being pushed, so exhibitionists can do nasty shit in public and cry bigotry if they get push back. Just look at the stuff in Pride parades.
