Gender critical - women who understand gender to be a social construct (originally entirely feminist, increasingly male allies (gay, straight and transmedicalist) are also a part of the movement) - a set of stereotypical social roles we're expected to play because of our biology (sex), who think that transgenderism is either a mental illness or religion and shouldn't be mandated in society. We believe there's no such thing as being born in the wrong body or changing your sex. Gender is deeply sexist. We also deeply question the treatment of the children under this ideology.

i thought gender is a social construct is what trannies keep preaching as an excuse to say that gender is a made up thing and thus allowing them to say they are a woman in a man's body.. wouldn't you then believe that gender is a biological construct? or am i getting things mixed up here?

A little mixed up - I'll see if I can clarify. The problem is they use the word gender to mean four different things. To clarify, they use gender interchangeably to describe: sex = biological sex (XX/XY), gender = sex stereotypes (women like pink, dolls, are submissive, emotional, etc.; men like blue, trucks, are dominant, logical, etc.), gender identity = your personality and hobbies (specifically as it relates to the sex stereotypes), and gender dysphoria (mental health issue where you feel extreme distress at your body's sex organs).

Believe it or not, the TQ+ folks have been saying gender (personality) is innate and that sex is a social construct. To be specific, the current ideology says it's a white, colonial construct - as if indigenous cultures had neither sex nor sex roles before Europeans arrived. They use the regressive, sexist idea that there are male or female brains (neurosexism) along with the idea that gender is innate, sex is a social construct to argue they can be a woman in a man's body. Others, also clearly are religious and believe in a sexed soul.

Feminists argue that gender is a made up thing (social categories to keep the patriarchal power dynamics with men as dominant and women as submissive). If they didn't believe in gender, they literally couldn't be transgender. It's a mess, but hopefully that cleared it up a bit.

yeah its a mess alright. it did clear it up for sure. see, i always use gender and sex as pretty much the same thing. in russian, for example, there was not even a word for gender, up until recently that cultural marxism made its way into the language and started corrupting people's minds.
