I just think it's retarded that there are literally 12-30 year olds jacking off to anime and then identifying as girls. The reason they are doing it is because of this idea. The idea of "male privilege" is promoted by the mainstream, and transition is pushed as a way to be free of it.

If they transition, they can't be criticized for being men, and in fact will be praised for being part of a progressive minority group. For some desperate individuals, that incentive alone is enough to even renounce their sex and mutilate themselves.

For some that's certainly the case. For others they only see a way to abuse these social norms to put themselves into a position of power over women.
