    How are light-skinned Gay Jews more privileged than heterosexual dark-skinned Christians or Muslims? The opposite is the case. Growing up in the South and hearing how wonderful it was that a Black man could marry a white woman when two white women could not yet marry each other, never mind two Black men, got real old real fast. When Gay marriage is under attack by a Black man married to a white woman, I will not be lectured on any type of prejudice by people who belong to fewer minority groups than I do.

    “White privilege“ is contingent on also being heterosexual and gentile as well.
