Well, um.. to put it bluntly. For Judaism, very very very very long ago - there was freedom and exploration to be whatever you wanted and an ecology that supported the growth of culture. All of this stuff changed for the worst after subsequent colonialism and invasions. Fields were burnt, environments, gardens, culture was trampled upon. Happened in many other places as well throughout the east, west etc. under these empirical forces - identity was constrained. The impetus of being a useful and a strong slave for an empire/against an empire was a necessity for survival. The conditions of it weren’t there before and along with it came grooming protocols that slowly altered physiology into something contorted over time. Something weaker and debased but strong and desperate.

Fast forward to today, identity is a battle and ecology has become more scarce. Privilege is an economic condition based on some horrible past and people have yet to reconcile on these blunders. Everyone is basically pointing a finger at the other and screaming stranger danger while pollution and biological magnification is creeping up. So in this current reality, the smartest thing to do is took seek an environmental revival and then identities can flow like cleaner water. Fairly certain that gay, lgbtq, hetero and bisexuals have always existed, but to make it a point of battle today? With diminishing ecology? The celebration wouldn’t last unless you parallel something much bigger - an environmental revival.
