Every time I try to install a linux distro, it is like that german kid slamming the keyboard up against the box monitor.gif. If there is a distro out there I haven't tried...

If you're having trouble just getting it going, you should try Linux Mint or Ubuntu. Mint is the easiest one I've ever seen, it literally works 100% right out of the box. Best one if you're coming from windows and having difficulty, imo. Ubuntu is also super polished, but it can be weird at times and has a bit of bloat in 2018.
