We all have a birth chart. You need to have the date, time you were born, and the location of where you were born so you know exactly where your planets fall in there and what your rising sign is.

When we’re born the sun, moon, Mercury, venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all in different signs and places when we’re born.

So as an example I have a Cancer rising which is the impression I would give off to a person who doesn’t know me.

I have my sun in Scorpio in the 4th house. This who I am at my core and how and where I shine brightest in the world.

I have my moon in the 6th house in Capricorn which is how I feel, and emotionally express myself.

I have Mercury in the 4th house in Scorpio. This is how and the way I communicate.

I have Venus in the 4th house in Libra this is how and what I express with love, want, need, desire, hate, and discord because there are two sides of venus

I have Mars in Gemini in the 11th house. This is how I go about getting what I want and need.

Then I have Jupiter in Leo in the 1st house. This defines my logical reasoning for doing things, my beliefs, luck, life philosophies.

I have Saturn in the 7th house in Capricorn which is where I could be restricted until I learn how to be a grown as well as where I can find the most stability and longevity in life.

I have Neptune and Uranus in the 6th house of Capricorn. Neptune which is what hides and reveals all of my wishes, desires, dreams and visions I have for my life and how and where I welcome release from stress and challenging situations. Uranus describes how and where the element of surprise and shock falls in my life, how I experience sudden inspiration.

I have Pluto in Scorpio in the 4th house. This is where and how my personal growth comes to play.

So I mentioned the houses my planets fall in and the signs, but that’s my personal chart. Depending on the type of astrologer you deal with if it’s for a psychological based astrologer they’re going to read the chart and the aspects those planets make to each other and understand how you function as a person. It’s essentially being able to read a understand the psychology of a person to help cope with life, get through problems, and to be the best version of themselves that they’re capable of depending on their life situations and circumstances. I’ve used this as a form of talk therapy and I found it much more fulfilling and helpful than when I had a therapist with a medical degree.

So I mentioned the houses 1st is house of self, how we come off to others when they first meet us.

2nd house describes what we value, our money, and our possessions.

3rd houses describes communication, siblings, short journeys, writing.

4th houses describes home and family

5th house is love, children, and fun

6th is work and health, our day to day.

7th is relationships of all kind and can describe the marriage partner

8th house is what you get after marriage, the deeper side of relationships, intimacy, sex.

9th house is philosophy, higher education, luck and joy

10th house is the house of career

11th house is the house of friendship, hopes and dreams and wishes.

12th house is how we relax, our hidden strengths and weaknesses.

Sorry if this is way more information than you were wanting btw. Anyway you can use free software to generate a chart. There’s Astro.com and Astro-seek.com I think Astro-seek.com is better for people who are newer to astrology, but either one is good.

But a birth chart is essentially what makes everyone individual and different from everyone. Like yes generally a Scorpio is going to be intense, but that’s a generalized description. There are Scorpios like me who have a lot more earth going on and Saturnian vibe like I do or you could get one who’s got mostly fire or water or air and a different emphasis on houses. Like mostly everything for me is below the horizon which could also describe me as a more introverted person who finds comfort in being at home or small intimate gatherings or one on one, whereas another person who has their planets above the horizon or on the top of the chart has is typically going to be a more extroverted and out and about in the world type of personality.

It gets really in-depth and from what I’ve seen is there’s always something new and takes you even deeper if it’s something you get interested in.

Lol I have software that I use personally to do research and sometimes for readings if someone asks or in the past for volunteer work. Astro.com was what I started on though.

Cool! If you need any more help or have any more questions feel free to ask. If you’d like a book to help you understand more “The Essential Guide To Practical Astrology” by April Elliott Kent is a great resource for Kindle. The author also has a weekly podcast she does with her lesbian friend called “Big Sky Astrology” but that has to do with the current transits which I didn’t describe to you...So transits are where the planets are right now and they hit everyone’s charts differently.

Yeah exactly! It’s a general kind of thing. They also talk about the Sabian symbols every degree of every sign has one it’s 1-30 instead of the astrological 0-29. I love that podcast another really good one that is similar is called “The Golden Astrologer” I like that one the best, but both are really good and super informative.

If you have a smart phone and a amazon account you can just download the kindle app for free and buy it on Amazon for kindle and it automatically downloads to the app.
