You can't even say you're a lesbian to doctors if they ask if you have the possibility of being pregnant. I did that recently and was still asked if I was sexually active with men.

i want to say i'm all for people not being made to be uncomfortable and i suppose these questions help do that for the "others" but jesus christ. it's all so unnecessary. if i went to my gyno and had to deal with this i'd be pissed off.

That's if you even manage to get a gyno appointment. I've heard trans women are gunning for appointments with specifically female gynos so that they can be validated.
