I somewhat recently (last year) started with leather-working, which is equal parts fun and frustrating. This summer I started learning HTML/CSS.

Other than that my main interest is my field of work/study. I also enjoy botany, something I currently don’t spend any time doing.

That is really cool. I really want to get into leatherworking to make journals, plague masks, and bags and maybe some armor because I'm a big geek like that, but it's one of those "after covid" things.

I'm also learning web development.

There are some really great youtube channels out there for that (leatherworking in general). Personally I pretty much only watched Ian Atkinson's videos on youtube, as I find his videos to the best when it comes to explaining but of course that's subjective. I currently just do 18+ stuff, done some phone cases and airpod cases. But I want to make bags as well (will probably start with boxes and a toilet bag) and shoes. Shoes are my end goal so far, most likely a long long way to get there though, but I'm not in any hurry.

Yeah, I have a weird bag fixation. I guess like many women have purse fixations and collections, except my gay version is backpacks and messenger bags.

So I would love to be able make bags - in any material really, but leather is especially appealing - to exactly my specifications. I feel the same way about notebooks and I'm always considering getting a Galen Leather notebook cover, but they aren't just how I want them, so I'd rather make them myself.

I will check out those youtube videos. Thank you! Good luck with your current projects and your future shoes.

Thank you, and you too - with the web development as well. Edit: Well, bags are practical - and so I get that entirely. Having something that is designed to ones own specific needs seems quite useful, had I started earlier I would probably have made something where I could have my calculator, two pencils, two pens, an eraser and a rular - could never find something for those specifics.
