It's proportionally the same as if an average person blew through $1500 because that expense would get them $10k in the next couple of years.

A few years ago, Ford was told by several countries that there would be significant EV infrastructure and restrictions on fossil fuel vehicles by now (eg. UK changing its mind). The governments didn't develop what they promised. Ford's had to pick up the EV development tab in the short term. Their EVs are also more expensive (and perhaps better) than some of the other options. And Ford has a bad repair record. Meanwhile, redstate.com will fail to understand anything about Ford and EVs, as their main focus is to simp for Big Oil, like the rest of the far right. Big Oil continues to price gouge, make 10s of billions, and buy politicians and the PACs that pay for redstate.com's employees. Ford in the longer term will probably recoup much of its investment, if not all of that investment +.
