If you have N variables and one target variable (e.g. gender identification) and N goes to infinity, the probability that those N variables have zero information about the target variable is essentially zero. So, to answer her question: she likely did not work on many statistics courses and machine learning in university and she likely is a complete ignorant moron, so that would explain it, doesn't it?
