What I don't like about the trans movement is that it attempts to tell kids things about themselves that they don't even know. This kid could be trans, or he could be a feminine guy, or copying his sister, but no one but the kid will know that. I think it's wrong to go in and tell the kid what to make of himself when really that's for him to work out.

The "egg" culture is really toxic, because basically every person who questions their gender according to them is trans. I 200% support trans rights, but it should be the person's decision to transition. Ppl can be trans, but also non binary, gender non conforming, a feminine boy, a masculine girl,... Trans culture is more and more popular online, and it's possible some very young ppl might want to alter their body at 13 but will completely change their minds 4 years after. I think a bit of gatekeeping is necessary here, I mean, just look at Sweden, there has been an explosion of gender dysphoria cases recently

I agree. I support their rights to transition but I think more support needs to be given to children. It's a massive red flag when people (on the internet) try to tell you things about yourself you don't even know. Same goes for some of the sexual orientation subreddits. If you don't know your sexuality or whether or not you are transgender, no one else can tell you that you have to work that out yourself (except a good psych who can work with you to help you work things out). It just reeks of a lack of boundaries and controlling behavior to me.

Have you seen the egg irl subreddit ? Dangerous af place for impressionable teenagers imo. Lots of ppl confusing depression with gender dysphoria.

Yeah that subreddit is creepy and manipulative. It takes fairly common experiences of people with low self-esteem and labels them trans. Smells a bit like grooming to me too.
