I went with friends to see a play this weekend, and one of them mentioned that one of the actors was the child of a mutual acquaintance of ours and that he was transitioning. I won't reveal his new name for privacy reasons, but it contains the name of a fruit and is completely ridiculous. It sounds like some anime or children's cartoon character name.

I'd never met him, but, of course, he was the most masculine-presenting actor on stage: tall, wide shoulders, square face, cleft chin, deep voice.

I watched him with a sinking feeling and thought, "Well . . . good luck with that." You know that feeling when you see someone making a very bad decision, but know you can't do anything about it? That's how I felt.

The gender movement is going to end up so badly for so many of those involved.
